In our efforts to continue providing our patients with the highest quality care, we have upgraded our Mammography equipment to the new state of the art Hologic Selenia Dimension 3D Mammography Machines (3 Dimensional Breast Tomosynthesis) . In addition to the standard convenience of having your mammogram on the same day as your annual appointment, our patients can now elect to have the newest breast imaging services on the market. Digital breast tomosynthesis (tomo), also known as a 3D mammogram, is a revolutionary new screening and diagnostic breast imaging tool to improve the early detection of breast cancer. During the 3D mammogram, an x-ray arm sweeps over the breast, taking multiple images in seconds. Images are displayed as a series of thin slices that can be viewed by our radiologists as individual images or in a dynamic interactive animation. Approved as an imaging modality by the FDA in early 2011, 3D mammography is used in combination with 2D digital mammography.
Our new Mammography Suite is located at:

Did you know…
Breast cancer is the most common concern in U.S. women. More than 230,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected within the next year and almost 40,000 women will pass away from this disease. The lifetime risk of developing breast cancer is one in six overall and one in eight for invasive disease.
Mammograms are an excellent tool for finding early breast cancer stages resulting in a decrease of mortality. We recommend beginning annual mammograms at age 40 based on screening recommendations from the American Cancer Society, American College of Radiology, American Medical Association, National Cancer Institute, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
